I play a lot of games. Console, PC, board, pencil and paper..you name it. Call it Gamer ADD, but I can’t stay focused on just one. I spend an hour here, and hour there, playing until I get the jist and moving on.
Now with the irresistible digital sales only getting stronger (in part because of the success of digital distribution), its only getting worse. It also has opened my eyes to a new issue: game reviews are written for a specific price point. As prices drop and games age, a $50 game that was state of the art two years ago being sold for $15 may or may not be worth the money.
So instead of just getting my $10 out of my $10 purchase, I’m going to analyze these games and their value. The idea isn’t to become a review database, but to open a discussion that the major review sites are missing.
